CyberCore exhibition at TechNet 2019
July 17, 2019
Elkridge, MD – June 1, 2019 – CyberCore Technologies was an exhibitor at the 2019 TechNet Cyber conference held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD from May 14th-16th, 2019. During the conference, CyberCore promoted WindRose and SecurStak. WindRose is CyberCore’s new Supply Chain Threat Assessment Center that provides a comprehensive framework, gathering and analyzing non-cooperative supply chain security data across multiple threat vectors. SecurStak is the world’s first secure, scalable, and cloud-enabled data center that combines leading data center products with National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST) security standards and guidelines, delivered using CyberCore Technologies’ ISO 28000:2007 and ISO 20243-1:2018 certified secure supply chain risk management methodology.
In addition, Tina Kuhn, CEO of CyberCore Technologies, participated in the Women in Cyber Panel discussion. The panel, which consisted of four senior women leaders in cyber, discussed the thrills and challenges of entering the cyber field, as well as the ups and downs it has taken to succeed within their chosen field. Evolving cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and solutions were the main topics of discussion during the panel.
The discussion focused heavily on and dove into the three categories of evolving cyber threats, enterprise vulnerabilities, and the promising solutions that are implemented now and how to reduce threats in the future. Evolving cyber threats focused on increasingly complex social engineering due to hostile purposes and the increased attacks on the critical infrastructure surrounding the cyber community. Enterprise vulnerabilities sparked discussion about enabling malicious insiders to threaten assets, which includes company proprietary information and allows uninformed end-users to cause damage. A few of the promising solutions focused on artificial intelligence for threat analysis and damage remediation as well as increasing the public awareness of the security and privacy threats and vulnerabilities.
Each panelist also commented on the many cybersecurity workforce challenges including the recruiting process and the ability to develop and maintain a workforce with certain skills to operate and protect networks in the rapidly changing threats that appear in the changing environments.
